Originally from Kent, Clive commenced his accountancy career in Hull, East Yorkshire, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1973 after returning to the south east. He joined Rayner Essex as a partner in 1977 after the merger of his former firm and has continued in general practice whilst developing areas of expertise. These include tax planning for mid-corporates, specialist audits for solicitors and other professional disciplines, the structure and taxation of partnerships and tax issues on incorporation of businesses. Clive also has specialist expertise in Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax planning and advises widely on Enterprise Investment Scheme and Enterprise Management Incentive issues.
The Personal View
A football devotee, Clive has been a supporter of Watford FC for over 40 years and attends regularly at matches with his family, home and away. Clive enjoys playing golf and his other interests include music, theatre, history and travel.
