Professional Profile
Steve trained with a small firm of Chartered Accountants in London’s West End where he gained a thorough grounding in dealing with SMEs. He qualified in 1979 and went on to gain invaluable experience, working at Stoy Hayward for three years.
Steve wanted to return to his roots and joined a growing practice dealing with the SME sector because he wanted to work closely with business owners and entrepreneurs. That growing practice was of course Rayner Essex. After many years working in the St Albans office, Steve moved to the fast expanding London office where he is now based. Steve has developed the international client base of the firm and he is the UK Director of INPACT International, an international alliance of which the firm has been an affiliate for many years.
The Personal View
Family, watching football (Chelsea), playing golf badly and trying to stay fit are among Steve’s interests. Hardly a glory hunter, Steve has watched Chelsea since the late sixties and has enjoyed the lows and more recently the highs. He took up running in recent years and completed his first 10k run in support of a deserving charity. The time taken to complete the run remains a closely guarded secret but it was a personal best (well it was his first!).
