[box_headline]Graduate Programme[/box_headline]

As a graduate, you will join a three year training programme to study towards the ICAEW Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification. This will give you a great head start in the profession, by making sure you’re not only fully qualified as a Chartered Accountant but have the full mix of practical experience and theoretical training.

We provide a structured programme to ensure that you will acquire the kind of knowledge you need in areas such as audit and assurance, accounting and financial reporting. We will also balance the theory with practical training, giving you plenty of hands on experience in the commercial world. Additional training to equip you for your work with us is provided by our training partner SWAT UK and more technical training focusing on the exams is provided by professional tutors from Kaplan. Both are leading training organisations in the profession, and this is supplemented by in-house workshops and training sessions. You will be given paid study leave, and we also cover the costs of all courses and examinations for first attempts.

What we’re looking for

There are a few things we ask you to bring along as well as the drive and determination that will set you apart from the rest. You will need:

  • A minimum of a 2:2 expected or obtained degree (in any discipline)
  • A minimum of 300 UCAS points (or equivalent) excluding General Studies; and
  • A grade A or B GCSE (or equivalent) in both English Language and Mathematics

You do not need any previous accounting experience, as full training is provided.

Don’t forget that your academic qualifications are not enough on their own. We are looking for articulate and confident graduates with a range of transferable skills. Accountancy is a people-focused profession. Numeracy is expected, but you must also be able to communicate confidently with colleagues and clients, as well as being able to organise yourself and your workload; balance the competing demands on your time; and take personal responsibility for the development of your career.
