I joined Rayner Essex in 1983 and have experience working across the entire business. In that time it’s been incredibly rewarding to be part of the organisation’s growth and success.

I was promoted to Partner in 2010 and since then my focus has been VAT, Tax and Payroll, as my specialisms, where I lead a large team in supporting a wide and varied client base.

Providing practical solutions in a no nonsense, straightforward manner with some added humour thrown in means that our clients have the confidence in us to help them manage any financial issues that may arise including HMRC investigations.

I’m President of the St Albans Chamber of Commerce and take an active role in as many of the exciting events as I am able to do.

When not working, sport has always been an important part of my life. I’ve participated in a number of sports but more recently have been bitten by the golf bug and I’m really enjoying the challenge of trying to perfect my golf swing. Football has always been a passion, I have season tickets at Arsenal and St Albans City FC.

Despite having a “hint” of a West Country accent my family and I have been based in St Albans for many years.
