Business Services

Rayner Essex identified a number of years ago that small businesses have different requirements to those of larger limited companies, yet many practices use the same staff for both sets of clients. As a result we created the business services department a team of staff dedicated to dealing with the smaller client, and as audit exemptions have been increased with those clients qualifying for the exemption.

Our staff are trained specifically towards accounts production in a cost efficient manner and to be aware and sympathetic of the needs and problems of the smaller clients, without compromising any of the quality.

Our aim is to provide more than just the preparation of annual accounts and consequently each client is encouraged to visit the offices to discuss the annual accounts and review possible performance enhancing measures that can be made to both the business and the accounting records.

The department works closely with the tax team to review any tax planning opportunities and to provide them with the necessary information for the annual preparation of the annual tax returns and P11d’s.

Within the department we also have a specialist team who can provide support in the production of management information.  This may be bookkeeping, management accounts, advice and training on accounts software, or business plans and cashflows.  The assignment is individually assessed and where regular input is required an appropriately trained member of staff will be allocated with the back up and support of a manager and partner.  That member of staff will be available for regular visits or work undertaken in house, consequently the staff member often becomes seen as an additional member of the clients staff.

To discuss the services available or your specific requirements please e-mail either our St Albans based Business Services partner Neil Heyes or his assistant Claire Barringer ( St Albans) and Roman Pathak (London)  or our London based business development partner Simon Essex.
