Professional Profile
Mark qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) with BDO Stoy Hayward in 1994. He then joined PwC’s National Market Tax division in Central London specialising in High Net Worth compliance and tax planning and working within the Entrepreneurial tax planning group. In 2000 Mark moved to central London firm Hazlems Fenton where he spent 6 years as Senior Tax Manager, heading their tax department and dealing with a broad spectrum of tax work including running a portfolio of footballer and sportsmen clients.
In 2006 Mark joined Rayner Essex and is our specialist Tax Partner. His tax skill set is extensive and mixed, with specific expertise in Personal and capital tax planning, corporate reorganisations, executive reward and share schemes, Tax investigations and Non domicile, non resident and offshore tax planning.
Mark divides his time between both our London and St Albans offices.
The Personal View
Mark lives in North London and is married with three young children. This leaves him little spare time when he is away from the office, but he remains an avid sports fan (armchair only these days) and during the winter months always finds a week or so to indulge his passion for skiing. He likes reading, music and films and when the UK summer allows enjoys nothing more than an afternoon’s gardening followed by a glass or two of wine to survey his handiwork.
